Efur Policy Introduction Videos

Efur provides a complete end-to-end solution for farms, from skin processing to final sale.

1.Shipment of Frozen no-scraped Skins to Cambodia

This section outlines the complete shipment process and requirements for delivering mink skins from farms to Efur in Cambodia. It covers pelting services, packaging and classification standards, required shipping documentation, customs clearance procedures, transportation responsibilities under FCA Incoterms, and seasonal delivery deadlines. By following these standardized requirements, farms can ensure efficient logistics, smooth customs clearance, proper handling of skins, and eligibility for sale within the intended auction season.

2.Shipment of Dried Skins

This section explains Efur's dried skin handling process in Cambodia. Efur accepts dried skins for initial tanning by Marco-Cipel, after which the skins are either shipped to China or sold in Cambodia. Farms are required to pack different skin categories separately and prepare separate shipping documents for each category. For low-grade skins, only a general shipment overview and the total number of significantly damaged skins are required, simplifying the documentation process while ensuring efficient handling and processing.

3.Sorting Instructions and Farm Authorization

This section describes Efur’s skin sorting and lot management services. Upon request, Efur can organize skins into farm-specific lots or combine them through inter-farm sorting, subject to minimum quantity and consistency requirements. Efur prepares a draft sorting report for the farm’s review and authorization before auction, with revisions made if requested. Shipments that do not meet the minimum requirements for farm-specific lots are automatically included in inter-farm sorting, ensuring efficient auction preparation while keeping farms informed of the sorting arrangement.

4.Price Recommendations, Authorization

Efur will periodically issue reference prices for dried skins based on the latest auction prices. Prior to each Efur auction, farms may adjust prices online using these references as their minimum acceptable prices, or suspend sales to await more favorable market conditions.

5.Drying Cost & Auction Commission for Farm Side

This section explains Efur’s service fees and settlement process. Drying services are provided by Norpol Pelting Cambodia, with drying costs and Efur’s commission deducted directly from the sales proceeds after the skins are sold. Any outstanding drying charges will be settled upon completion of the sales process, ensuring a streamlined and transparent cost recovery mechanism.

6.Auction Organization & Costs Allocation

This section outlines Efur’s sales and auction process. Efur offers both online auctions and private sales, with auction schedules determined by market conditions. Skins are offered at a starting price that includes the farm’s authorized minimum price plus accumulated costs, which are paid by the buyer as part of the winning bid. After these costs are deducted, the remaining proceeds are credited to the farm. If bids do not reach the authorized starting price, the skins will not be sold without the farm’s further approval, ensuring that farms retain control over the final selling decision.

7.Skin Storage & Sales Timeline

This section explains Efur’s storage policy and sales timeline for unsold skins. Skins are stored free of charge in Efur’s warehouse in China for up to one year from the first price recommendation, during which Efur and farms regularly review market conditions and pricing. Farms are encouraged to sell within nine months; otherwise, they must prepay transportation, drying, and tanning costs, which will be reimbursed if the skins are sold later. Efur’s liability for storage-related damage ends after the skins have been stored for two years.

8.Efur Consignor Online Account

This section introduces Efur’s online consignor platform. Once the required documents are received, each farm is provided with a dedicated online account to access comprehensive operational information, including skin tracking, sorting reports, sales results, inventory, settlements, pricing records, and loan information. The platform also enables farms to review and authorize sorting reports, receive sales price recommendations, and manage their minimum selling prices online, providing greater transparency, efficiency, and control throughout the sales process.

9.Loan Facility

This section outlines Efur’s loan facility for farms. Based on the assessed value of their skins, farms may be eligible for financing of up to 50%, with valuations conducted in Cambodia. The standard loan term is nine months, while loan approval and specific terms are determined solely by the lender. The current financing program carries an annual interest rate of 8% for CNY-denominated loans, with funds available for conversion into euros upon disbursement.
